The C920s HD records sharp videos at 1080p and 30 frames per second, and has a wide 78-degree field of view that’s ideal for both solo conference calls and large meeting rooms. Its sleek black design is equally ideal for clipping to displays or attaching to tripods, and its companion software offers customizable backgrounds and avatars. And, it has a privacy shutter to physically block the camera’s lens.
If you need something higher-end for gaming, the Logitech C922 Pro Stream webcam is an enhanced version of the C920s that touts 60fps video recording at 720p. But if you’re just seeking the best overall quality for video calls, the Logitech C920s Pro HD is the way to go.
Elgato’s Facecam is the most recent addition to our list, and is certainly the most-impressive 1080p webcam on the market right now. As one of the most expensive webcams for streamers out there, you would expect its picture quality to be second-to-none – fortunately we can report that this is the case.
The only drawbacks to the Facecam are the lack of autofocus – though this isn’t really a deal-breaker if you’re streaming from a fixed distance anyway – as well as the fact it occasionally struggles with over-exposing its subject under harsh lighting conditions when in Auto mode.
The good news is that Elgato’s software for the Facecam is exceptional, giving you a great deal of control over every element of your image, including the cam’s ISO value which you can always dial down to ensure you are always beautifully exposed.
Razer’s has been branching out into more streaming-specific gear for a while and the quality keeps getting better and better. The Razer Kiyo Pro is a cracking streaming webcam. While it might be a little pricey, it is one of the best webcams for streaming simply because of how much it offers.
Recording at 1080p/60 FPS, this webcam has a flexible field of view and unrivalled video quality options that can be adapted for each and every situation.
